The first in a new
series of books by the brilliant Steve Cole, author
of the Astrosaurs series. This time, Cole is
venturing into the world of animal superheroes and
his first read packs plenty of fun and
silliness.
Duck was not looking for adventure. He was quite content lazing around, raiding bins for leftovers and eating soggy bread. But then a meteorite crashed into his pond and he gained some extraordinary superpowers. And he’s not the only one to gain new powers. A canine with evil plans has been affected too. Guided by a rather dapper looking moustached egg, Adventure Duck, with the help of a neon-glowing zebra, must save the world form a super-sized mind controlled cow and a pug on a power trip…
Loveable Adventure
Duck and his nemesis Power Pug deliver an action
packed adventure story with the traditional good vs
evil storyline. Plenty of wise-cracks, some
egg-ceedingly bad jokes and some quacking puns will
keep both children and adults entertained. Adventure
Duck does get the better of his nemesis this time
and the ending of the story sets up more adventures
and battles for future books. In the second book in
the series, Adventure Duck will do battle with the
Armadillo Army. The story is complemented by plenty
of black and white cartoon style
illustrations.
